1. Audit your redemption area

Set aside a few minutes to look at your redemption area every no and then.

Does it “wow” you? Does it make you want to play the games to win the prizes?

The redemption area is the last place a customer goes to before they leave your facility, so you want to give them a great impression and experience picking a prize.

2. Ask your customers what they think

Consider gathering a group of customers and inviting them to a free breakfast or lunch. In exchange for a free meal (or discount), ask them for their honest feedback about your redemption center.

Be sure to also ask about what’s popular and trending. Perhaps your counter is missing a prize that would really appeal to your target demographic!

3. Offer and promote high-quality prizes

Offer trendy and high-quality prize options to increase your customer’s desire to play. Be sure to also offer a mix of new and nostalgic prizes that may appeal to both young and older customers.

Utilize areas throughout your facility to promote your prizes. For example, hang large plushies from the ceiling or place prizes on top of games!

Another easy way to entice customers is to regularly update what prizes appear at the redemption counter. For instance, you may want to reflect seasonal themes, holidays, or upcoming sporting events.

Remember, your redemption counter is almost like a loyalty program for your facility. Customers can collect “tickets” to redeem for a prize at any point, so it’s critical that you offer great prizes that’ll keep customers coming back to play.
