A software stack, or solution stack, is a group of programs that work together to help you run your business effectively.

After all, there are many software solutions, web applications, and other technology solutions that you’ll need in order to run your business.

What is a FEC Software Stack?

Of course, there are many “all-in-one” types of solutions that can solve a multitude of needs at once, but they may not always be the best choice for your business.

You and your business are unique. It’s important to build a solution stack that works to address your specific needs and will help you grow your business.

When you perform your annual budget and planning, be sure to include some time to assess your current solution stack. When you set 1 year, 5 year, 10 year, 15 year, and 20 year goals, project where each solution may fit into your future goals.

With that said, solution choices are about more than price alone.

An expensive solution can be a poor choice if it doesn’t work well or you don’t receive the support you need. In the same vein, an inexpensive solution might save you money, but can hurt you if your customers end up with a poor user experience.

How Many Solutions and Vendors Should I Include in My Software Stack?

You might be wondering: how many solutions is too many? Or how few is too few?

While it’s difficult to point to a specific number, our customers use as few as 15 solutions while others use hundreds. It all depends on how many attractions your facility offers, the type of food offered, your guest count, demographics, and so much more.

For example, a small space focused on hosting parties and open play might use 15 solutions. On the other hand, a large trampoline park hosting dozens of parties per day with a medium-sized cafe might use 50+ solutions and vendors.

What Should I Include in My Software Stack?

While choosing what to include in your stack is also subjective, we’re happy to offer some suggestions as a starting point.
