Cyber Monday: How to Drive Traffic to Your Online Store

In this post, we explore how you can plan a campaign for Cyber Monday that'll drive traffic and help grow revenue from your online store!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner, which means consumers all over the world are getting ready to shop until they drop.

Some customers even prefer to shop on Cyber Monday, as they can find similar deals without having to brave the traffic, the crowds, and the cold weather on Black Friday!

As the owner or operator of a family entertainment center, it's important to develop a plan that'll help you capitalize on these upcoming events. In this post, we explore how to plan a campaign for Cyber Monday that'll drive traffic and help you grow revenue from your online store!

Cyber Monday: How to Drive Traffic to Your Online Store

Let's jump in.

1. Create an offer they can't refuse

A great way to drive traffic to your online store is to offer your customers what they really want! To start, you can offer discounted play passes, gift cards, or party packages.

One of our customers, an owner of a laser tag facility here in the US, ran his first Cyber Monday deal on these items several years ago.

We helped him set up an online store where he sold each item at about a 50% discount. Instead of using Groupon, our customer benefited by keeping all of the revenue instead of having to split it with another platform.

Even better, he made a killing that year! His customers felt that his Cyber Monday deals were too good to refuse (and, would make great holiday gifts for the whole family), so he was able to sell a large volume of passes and party packages. In total, he had 45 online store orders and booked an additional 29 party reservations over a 2-day period. The following year, his numbers were even better. He processed 82 online store orders and had a 57% revenue jump from the previous campaign.

2. Promote your offerings

Promoting your offerings well in advance of Cyber Monday is incredibly important.

Our customer mentioned in the example above promoted his deals through email, social media, and on his website. For him, the majority of the traffic to his online store came from email.

The point is: It's important to use all of the tools at your disposal. Create eye-catching social media graphics or videos using Canva and schedule them on Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok. If you have experience with Facebook Advertising, you may want to use this tool as well.

Export customer emails from your facility management software and import them into an email platform like PCS Marketing Automations, and craft a simple email announcing your Cyber Monday deals using one of our many templates.

Lastly, I would recommend going offline and promoting your offering by posting signage and flyers inside your facility. Parents are always looking for deals!

Get Ready for Cyber Monday!

Don't get fooled into thinking Cyber Monday deals are only for large retailers like Best Buy and Amazon. With the right planning, you can build a Cyber Monday campaign that will generate a lot of revenue and buzz for your business!
