Party Center Software Release Note 11/18/2019

We are excited to announce that the Party Center Software Reports page has been entirely redone. We have introduced all new page functionality, as well as six new reports to help provide better analytics for your facility.

All of the old reports remain in-tact and available for use, and will remain this way for an indefinite amount of time. We will, however, be rolling out new reports to replace their functionality.

IMPORTANT: The new reports will only function in PCS Register 2.0, they will not display in version 1.17.6.0 or earlier!

The release also contains a new universal help menu that will appear at the bottom right corner of Party Center Software, as well as a few minor bug fixes.

The layout and functionality of the Reports page has been drastically overhauled:

You may still access our old reports under the Legacy Reports section.

We will continue to provide access to the legacy reports for an indefinite amount of time, as there are many reports that we have not yet replaced in terms of functionality.
PCS users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new reports as they are released.
These will ultimately end up replacing the legacy reports entirely.

The New Reports

We have created six new reports for the new page's initial release. Some cover functionality previously found in our old reports, and some provide entirely new functionality that our legacy reports did not offer.

  • Party Statistics: This report provides data similar to the old Event Statistics report. It is a great way to view where and how well your parties are selling.
Click here to learn more about the Party Statistics report.

  • Orders by Product: The purpose of this report is to provide you with a way to locate orders on which a particular product was sold. This functionality was not present in any of our legacy reports.
Click here to learn more about the Orders by Product report.

  • Orders by Discount or Coupon: This report is similar to Orders by Product, but its purpose is to track down orders containing a specific discount coupon product. Our legacy reports did not provide a way to do this.
Click here to learn more about the Orders by Discount or Coupon report.

  • Customer Detail: Much of the functionality of the old View & Download Customers report can be found in the Customer Detail report. We have also expanded and improved upon the old report's features. Updates include accurate waiver information and the ability to search for primary account holder information.
Click here to learn more about the Customer Detail report.

  • Customer Loyalty: You can now view historic order data for each of your customers, allowing you to view the customer accounts associated with the most orders and order revenue. This is a new feature that was not present in our legacy reports.
We have also added this information to the new Loyalty tab. This can be seen on any account by clicking on Customers, searching for a customer, and then clicking on their name. You will see the loyalty tab to the far right:RELEASE
Click here to learn more about the Customer Loyalty report.

  • Customers with Organizations: The remainder of the functionality of the old View & Download Customers report can be found here. This report allows you to specifically view customer accounts containing associated organizations.
Click here to learn more about the Customers with Organizations report.

New Report Permissions

We have granted certain user groups access to to each of the new reports based on the permissions that were previously set for each group. For security reasons, each new report permission required several prerequisite permissions to be met, or we did not automatically apply it to a user group.

User accounts with admin access will have access to all of the new reports. If certain reports are not displaying, your user group may not have access to that report. You will need an admin for your facility to grant you that permission.

The new report permissions can be found by going to Admin > User Groups > (click on the name of a user group):

Remember that you cannot apply a permission that you do not have, and you may need an employee with higher-level access to grant your user group a certain permission.

The New Help Menu

You will notice a new help icon in the bottom right of Party Center Software:

Clicking on this icon will open the all new help menu:
RELEASE

We have added a link to a knowledge base article for most sections of Party Center Software, and are in the process of creating an article for every page as our knowledge base continues to go through a major overhaul.

You will also notice a section containing the latest release notes. The goal is to provide clear communication to all of our customers when we release an update to the software.

Minor Bug Fixes

We have fixed a few small issues with this release as well.

  • DEV-2553 - Setting a party's price to 0.00 is not setting ShowPerPersonPrice to 1
Setting a party's price to 0.00 will now cause the online booking page to display the pricing using the per person layout.
For example, online booking will correctly say "$20.00 per person," instead of "$0.00 plus $20.00 per person."

  • DEV-2551 - When booking In House; clicking on the customer's name first causes the order to be booked as a quote
Using this workflow when booking a party through the schedule page was causing the party to be booked as a quote. This has been resolved, and the party's will now default to Open status, as they did before the last release.

  • DEV-2560 - Clicking the red 'x' next to an account on the customer page tries to set the account to 'Do Not Book'
Clicking on the red 'x' next to a customer's name will now correctly set the account to Inactive status.
