What is Face-to-Face Marketing? (and Why it Matters!)

Read this article to learn more about Face-to-Face Marketing and why it matters!

Face-to-Face Marketing is just what it sounds like: Marketing to your target customer in person!

According to Repsly, Face-to-Face Marketing is often synonymous with experiential marketing, which is all about providing customers with a positive, exciting, branded “event experience.”

In this article, we'll dig deeper into what F2F Marketing really means and why it matters for your business.

What is F2F Marketing? (and Why it Matters!)

Think of marketing your business at street festivals, industry events or trade shows, school fairs, and other similar events, but taking it to the next level by hosting a game in your booth. It’s all about creating a fun, unforgettable experience and encouraging participants to visit your FEC!

Although digital marketing continues to be incredibly important, sometimes reaching the right customers requires that we also connect face-to-face.

If your goal is to attract more families to your facility in the summertime, it might be a good idea to hand out coupons at your local street fair and ask families directly: How can I help you make memories at my family entertainment center? What activities do you enjoy most? Let us be your plan B on a rainy day!

Here are some more reasons why Face-to-Face marketing matters:

1. Digital Can't Replace Human Connection

At the end of the day, we really want to connect with one another and a positive, human connection can encourage us to take action on something we otherwise would not do.

Face-to-Face Marketing can encourage customers to visit and experience your FEC for themselves.

2. Better ROI

As a FEC owner or operator, making customers happy is your top priority.

If you provide customers with an incredible guest experience, they are sure to spread the word about your facility. You want guests to walk away feeling appreciated and eager to return to your facility.

One happy guest can bring up to 10 more for you. 50% to 80% of word-of-mouth activity in any given product category is the result of a consumer’s direct experience with a product or service! (McKinsey)

3. Target More Potential Customers & Increase Brand Awareness

If you’re present at an in-person event and are able to showcase your attractions and display your party package options, you’ll be able to convince more potential customers to stop by your facility for a day of fun!

About 85% of consumers are likely to buy after participating in events and experiences. (Event Marketer).
