Arcade games are a staple in the entertainment industry. Just about every indoor FEC across the country has an arcade; each one ranging in size and diversity. When putting together an arcade plan for a new center, or simply upgrading an existing arcade, here are some helpful average arcade revenue, budget, and space allocation figures.
Average Per Game Budget: $8,000-$9,000 Extreme games are more expensive and are causing the average price per game to increase. This number is based on an brand new, full redemption arcade. Prices can be reduced to fit the project's budget by including used games. Also, choosing the extremes carefully can help meet the budget requirements. Quality Counts!
Average Per Game Revenue: $200/Week This is based on a facility achieving average expected volume. Many arcades do far better than industry averages due to higher volume. Average also assumes the facility has made a significant commitment to family entertainment, with a current game mix and keeping up with prize trends.
Average Per Game Space Allocation: 60 Square Feet Extreme games are becoming more prevalent, causing the square footage for games to increase while decreasing the overall game count.
