5 Key Recommendations for FEC Owners from 2021's Online Booking Study

2021 showed that post-pandemic recovery is in full swing.

Many PCS customers have even had a record-breaking year and continue to pivot their business in order to grow.

Here is a recap of five recommendations we have and opportunities to consider on your journey towards intentional re-building.

1. Update Your Website

Make sure that your website is up-to-date with your current reopening status, COVID-related policies and procedures, party packages, booking availability, cancellation policies, and more.

Your customers want to visit your facility and are looking to your website for information on when and how they can do so safely. In addition to your website, remain active on social media and share important information there too!

Even if your doors are still closed, remaining active on social is critical to engaging your customers and marketing your different events or attractions.

2. Set Up Your Online Store

As the data has shown, developing an online store will allow you to maintain a steady stream of revenue.

Selling tickets to events, gift certificates, redemption items, birthday-in-a-box kits, merch, and other digital products will help to diversify possible sales options.

Many customers have even added a virtual tip jar to their online store that customers were happy to contribute to.

3. Bet on Your Online Booking System

Your online booking system is incredibly important. Right after the online store, our customer’s online booking module was pivotal in their efforts to build their business back up.

Online booking is a game-changer for family entertainment centers and event facilities. You're likely to start seeing increased party bookings and revenue almost immediately.

If you don't use one already, schedule a demo with Party Center Software.

4. Grow Your Marketing Efforts

Posting on social media grows your brand awareness.

Potential customers will learn more about your facility and current customers will be reminded to come back for another visit. We recommend scheduling out posts 3x or more times per day on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and video platforms like TikTok and YouTube.

For more specific detail on this, grab our guide on Facebook, Instagram, and on Building a Marketing Plan.

As you’re growing your business, you’ll also need an email marketing tool on hand. Platforms like MailChimp and Constant Contact are all about automating your email marketing efforts and remarketing to customers.

5. Maximize Your Guest Data

If you’re a Party Center Software customer, you can pull various reports from your software that can help you identify new opportunities. Here are a few of our favorite:

Party Statistic Report - This report allows you to pull party statistics by year, month, week, and day. It also allows you to compare data from one year to another and provides an event, revenue, and average ticket graph.

With this data, you’ll get a better idea of the popularity and profitability of a given party option.

Customer Detail Report - This report will deliver an overview of customer accounts at your facility. It includes information about your guests, as well as their dependents. You can check out customer birthday months, orders, last order date, and more.

With this data, you can effectively re-market and identify your target customers.

Invoice Balance Report - This report shows you all of your orders and whether payments were made. As mentioned above, keeping track of your deposits, especially during these times, is critical.

If you’d like to learn more about how to pull these reports, contact your Customer Success Manager.
