Did you know that opening an online store could help boost revenue during slower seasons?
In our 2020 Online Booking Study, we discovered that our customers used their online store to sell virtual party packages, craft kits, and more. It helped owners keep the momentum going for their business and continue to generate an income while in the midst of a pandemic.
Remember, customers are always looking for ways to support local businesses, so your online store can be a great way to enable them to do so!
3 Tips to Increase Revenue Using Your Online Store
Here are a few tips on how to optimize your online store to increase revenue during slower business seasons.
1. Update Your Offerings
When was the last time you took a look at your online store? Or, are you looking to set one up but don't know where to start?
Ask yourself the following questions:
What products can you add? Has it been a while since you last updated your product list?
Do you have clear product descriptions?
What will your theme or background be? If you have one already, is it out-of-date?
Do you have great product pictures? Do the product pictures need to be updated?
Are your pictures stock photos or actual photos of your products?
If you’ve asked yourself these questions and need help setting things up or think your online store could use an update, reach out to your party booking software provider and ask them for help! If you don't have an online store just yet, give us a call.
If you’re a current Party Center Software customer, give our support line a call—we’d love to chat. We can help with themes, images, products; anything to help your online store thrive.
You can also visit our Help Center for more information on how to use the store. You can find information on organizing products or configuring text sets. Every little bit helps to make your store unique.
2. Extend Deals to Encourage Immediate Purchases
Incentivizing customers is the key to generating more business.
For example, some of our customers have used gift certificates as an online store offering. So, consider advertising a gift certificate at a reduced price! People are more likely to purchase items they want if you offer them at a slightly lower price.
Gift certificates are great because they’re a promise of future business. Not only are you making an initial sale and have additional revenue coming in immediately, but they’re also purchasing an item that they need to come to your facility to use, and while they're having fun, they will likely spend even more money (on food, drinks, your arcade.) In the end, you'll probably make back the money you “gave up” by discounting the gift certificate. It’s a win-win!
Offering party vouchers is another great way to promote future business. Consider creating a few special parties or deal incentives to sell through your online store. Consider bundling additional items with these parties, so customers know they’re getting a unique deal that wouldn’t normally be offered.
If you offer some sort of season pass, that’s another great opportunity for your business! Sell summer passes early up until a certain date at a significant discount. This puts money in your pocket sooner and gives your customers something to look forward to.
3. Market Your Offerings
Now that you’ve got your online store ready to go and your products ready to sell, you need to let your customers know what's available!
Your online party booking or facility management software should make it easy for you to download a list of customers for use with mass email platforms.
